Who doesn't love a giveaway to a sought after event? Especially when it's to Brewzilla. If you follow some of the bloggers in my blogroll, you know you have had a few chances to win already.
Well, here's another chance for you because I have two tickets to giveaway for the October 23rd event. It's the official closing of the Beer Week where you can drank your heart away from over 80 breweries. Because you will need something absorb all the craft beer, Heinen's and Winking Lizard are providing different pairings for the beers to support the Malone Scholarship Fund (managed by Cleveland Scholarship Programs ).Tickets are either $75 or $50 and if you are a designated driver, tickets are $40 or $20.
Sandwiches and more:
- Gourmet Angus hot dogs and "build your own" dog bar with tasty toppings including Heinen's own chili.
- Slow roasted beef brisket with peppers and onions, stuffed in warm garlic hoagie roll with melted questo cheese sauce.
- Slow roasted vegetables, hummus, black bean corn salsa and queso sauce on a warm hoagie bun.
- Goat cheese samples courtesy of Mackenzie Creamery and available in the Ohio Brewery area.
- Cheese station 1 (great with dark Belgian-styles and stouts): Roth Kase Surchoix Gruyere, Moody Blue, Crave les Frere.
- Cheese station 2 (great with pilsners and wheats): Widmer Colby, Carr Valley Smoked Garlic Chedder, Carr Valley Menage.
- Cheese station 3 (great with IPAs, brown ales and porters): Widmer 4-year Cheddar, Sartori Bellavitano, Sartori Raspberry Bellavitano.
- A special chocolate creation (while supplies last!) made just for CBW to pair with a local brewery's beer, by Lilly's Handmade Chocolates. Oh, how I love her truffles!
With all that said, all you have to do is share one of your favorite or worst beer you've ever tasted. It's that simple! Can you guess what kinds of beers I like? My favorites are fruity or Belgian ales and my least favorite are hoppy beers. Blah! Order me a Magic Hat #9, Blue Moon, Thirsty Dog Raspberry Ale and only one Lambic at a time. It's so sweet, I can't handle more than that. You have two ways to enter and can enter as many times as you want:

I'm not much of a beer person, but my husband LOVES Fat Tire!
Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier.
I had it last night and had forgotten how much I love it!
(Clearly, I had to google to figure out how to spell it)
I love witte and wheat bears of all kinds! The worst has to be Schaffer. That's actually what we drank in college when we played beer pong...
My favorite is Rogue Hazelnut Honey Brown...a YUMMY Brown Ale. Although the name is amazing...Raging Bitch by Flying dog is REAL hoppy Belgian IPA which I was sad to find I did not like one bit!

Blue moon is my favorite. but if i have beer mostly its bud select 55 cus i had to break up with beer in order to not be a heffer anymore. =(
but that makes the occasional tasting that much better!
You can't go wrong with a 312.
Gosh, so many beers to choose from... I think my favorite has to be Lost Abbey Angel's Share.
Obsessed with beer! My fave is GLBC Nosferatu. Yum!
I love Magic Hat #9 too! Another good one that's similar is Pyramid Apricot Ale.
I used to love Lambics and then moved to Hard Cider; I just had a Willoughby Brewing Co milk stout that was really good (and surprised me). Yeah beer!
Troges Nuggest Nectar...one of the best beers around. We have had it over at the Craft Beer Party!
You know where to find me if I am lucky enough to win!
http://clevelandfoodandbrews.blogspot.com!
Love that you are doing a beer contest!!! :-)
I'll give you one more suggestion that I loved and I actually think you'd enjoy!!! The lizard had this for one day only about two weeks ago, but you can find it at a specialty beer store.

I'd like to win - please and thank you :) Golden Monkey is my fav brew :)
I'm gonna break convention and tell you about some of my least favorite beers, because there are just too many great ones!
21st Ammendment Hell or High Watermelon, Cave Creek Chili and Brew Dog SmokeHead.
Renee
I 1000000% agree that 21 Amendment Hell or High Watermelon is horrible, no AWFUL!.
What is funny is that 21st Amendment Live Free or Die IPA is GREAT!!! It comes in a can too.
OK one more for now since I love this topic.
Since it is the fall season and fall seasonals are all over the draft lists at many bars. You MUST try Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. I have not found a person who has not liked it yet.
Recently found and fell in love with Petrus Ale. First tried it on tap at Tremont Taphouse, then bought all the bottles in stock at Lilly's. Yum!
Will be tweeting this too
Dogfish Head 90min. cahoonc@gmail.com

I love Paulaner Hefeweizen! Or any of the dunkleweizen's I've had in Germany. Yum!
I also tweeted about this. And whenever Great Lakes has Glockenspiel on tap, I stop whatever I am doing and drive there immediately.
My favorite beer is Great Lake's Brewery Nosferatu. It only comes out a few times a year, but it's worth the wait.

I love Duvel so much that I even stole the snifter glass it is served in at Bier Markt - and it's the only bar I have been able to find it at.
danielle.lippe@gmail.com
I have many favorite beers, but for the fall, there's nothing better than the following:
Founders Breakfast Stout
Aventinus Weizenbock
Southern Tier Pumking
3 different styles. All awesome beers for chilly weather and football!
I also Tweeted about it: http://twitter.com/CLECraftBeerRun
My favorite beer is probably DogfishHead 90 min ipa, but I'm a huge fan of drinking seasonal varieties.
Worst beer, I agree with above on the Hell or High watermelon. It smells good, but just tastes bad.
I really love 12 dogs of Christmas from Thirsty Dog. The release of all the Christmas beers always puts me in a festive spirit.

Christmas Ale!! Celebrating bad decisions all season long!!pstropko@yahoo.com
Oh I hope I win! I really want to go. I've loved all the beers I've tried from Southern Tier and their current seasonal, Pumpking, is delicious. Though I'm also a big fan of the Blonde Bombshell by local brewery Indigo Imp.
I tweeted it too
