Since we've been dating 4.5 years, the BF and I started to spend Christmas Eve together last year and spent Christmas together this year at the BF's family's house. Our families live 1.5 hours from each other so we've typically spent them apart.
We kicked off the holiday celebration at Greg and Jules' house on Xmas eve. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

My aunt decided to introduce chocolate strawberry shots to Christmas eve this year. Normally, we have Great Lakes Christmas ale flowing as you may remember from last year and my brother's antics. Well, let's just say a few shots of this can leave you sent up to bed at 10:30 p.m. by your mom when you are 26 years old. (I'm looking at you little Greg!)
We made multiple family members try this shots, including my mom, who describes the shot as "potent" after we had to explain how to do a shot by biting the whole thing at once. New concept, I know.

How was celebrating the holidays with your family and friends?

Shots on Christmas are a great tradition to introduce. Ours is just wine and simmering resentment.
Hmmm....I'll definitely have to try those shots at the next holiday party. Sounds fun!
Those shots sound yummy! We have cranberry martinis (different than cosmos...much tarter) and then all fall asleep during Midnight Mass :-)
hehehe....sounds like something my family would do!
I think it's awesome you two spend xmas together! Matt & I haven't done so yet, but I'm guessing at some point we will!
Also pretty awesome that you convinced your mom to take a shot. I'm not sure I could do the same with mine. She gets tipsy from half a beer!
I want chocolate strawberry shots for Christmas!
Hahaha! I love this!
We had a blind beer tasting this year on Christmas Eve. Luckily no one ended up in bed at 10:30, though. :)
I personally think chocolate vodka was the best thing invented this millenium!
